School Emotional Environment for Learning Survey (SEELS)
The School Emotional Environment for Learning Survey (SEELS) is an online self-evaluation tool. It provides staff and students with the information they need to start improving the emotional environment of their class or school.

SEELS works by:

measuring a school’s emotional environment for learning
diagnosing the factors that need addressing to improve that environment
identifying the main levers for change
tracking change through time.

SEELS gives everyone in a school the opportunity to articulate what they are experiencing, without any anxiety that they might be put on the spot about what they have revealed.

SEELS stimulates inspires people to start exploring how they can transform their school so that it becomes an even better environment for learning.

"SEELS has informed the school development process by providing us with a tangible measure of important organisational issues for staff and students."

James Walker, headteacher,
Henry Fawcett Primary School, Lambeth
