A skilled teacher, trainer and researcher, Marilyn was involved in Antidote’s Emotional Literacy Initiative as part of the research advisory body at the University of Bristol. Her role at Antidote involves training and consultancy work with schools, local authorities and other educational bodies on how they can use The PROGRESS Programme to develop strategies for shaping even better environments for learning. Her latest book is entitled School Effectiveness: Supporting student success through emotional literacy.

Amy Bangay, Data Explorer
Amy shapes the data we collect from schools about their learning environment into meaningful pictures that can be used to stimulate discussion among staff and students. Amy moved to London from Toronto in 2008. She joined Antidote after completing her Masters in Education (Psychology) at the Institute of Education. She has a long-standing interest in education and helping to make learning even better. Her master’s dissertation involved investigating the relationship between primary school students’ feelings of belonging in school and attainment, and exploring any differences in this relationship across ethnicities.
