Teachers and Other School Staff
Antidote works to ensure teachers and other staff are enabled to play a strategic role in improving their schools.

By ensuring that every member of the school community is able to voice their experience and contribute creative ideas, the Antidote process works to ensure that schools are experienced as satisfying, inspiring and enjoyable places to work.

For this to happen teachers and other staff need to feel:
  • involved in identifying the issues for the school and finding solutions
  • appropriately valued
Then they will enjoy their work even more which impacts positively on their contribution. A virtuous circle.

What teachers say:

“The voice that Antidote enables to be heard is the teacher voice. That is something we don’t usually get. We get a voice coming from senior management that has got its own directives. The teacher voice needs to be heard.”

“Antidote made a big difference in helping us to focus on teaching and learning as a whole staff team.”

“I don’t think we would have got this far without outside facilitation. It has been really helpful to have outside body facilitating this discussion.”

“I was impressed by the Antidote team, who were able to develop discussion yet allow focus on the topics.”

“The approach was invaluable - the leading and 'letting go' balance was good and made us feel really empowered.”
